Quick Easter Treat

Long time no blog!!  I know I know, I need to get my act together and school holidays start this afternoon........*eek* so I will try and sneak some time to blog.  We are also having a reshuffle of rooms and I need to get the "shed" (sleepout) cleaned out so MIL can go out there and Jonah can have his own room at long last, but motivating people to get moving to sort out their.......um.....er........"treasures" is mission impossible!  If it were up to me, the whole lot would go to the dump!  Anyways, Miss Abbey asked if I could make a little something for her teacher for easter and this little guy is what I came up with............ :)
All products are Stampin' Up! except for the foil marshmallow egg, although Stampin' Up! would do a roaring trade if they sold chocolate as most stamper/crafters have sweet tooths (myself included).  This little guy was in the now expired Summer Mini Catalogue and that means one thing (and it's great I tell ya!) the NEW mini is now up and running and my oh my oh my, it is going to send me verrrrrrry broke.  They have clear mount stamps *yay* and the Big Shot and the dies and the embossing folders and three new in colours *drool* anyone who knows me knows that Rich Razzleberry is my favourite ;)  and the Cottage Wall designer paper is divine!!!  Oh and a new punch design that takes up LESS room *awesome*  I had better get a shuffle on, there is a rather noxious smell wafting up from Mr 2 *ugh*, take care and until next time, take care :) xx

Recipe: Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, So Saffron, Certainly Celery; Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip; Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Stampin' Around Handle, Dimensionals; Stamps: Chocolate Bunny, Fast Flowers Stampin' Around Roller.

Birthday Boy

My little guy turned two on the 21 February and he seems to be evolving in front of our eyes, he losing the baby-toddler mannerism and is now heading into preschooler behaviour. His vocabulary has expanded and he is stringing words together. He still looks like the new little man that I held when he was born two years ago when he is asleep, and as bad as it is, I love having him fall asleep in my arms (unless i need the toilet) because apart from the weight, it is like holding him as a newborn all over again. He is mad on trains, planes, cars and "HELICOPPERS". If he hears one flying overhead he will race outside to spot it. Seeing as I didn't have a "helicopper" stamp I chose one of his other passions and went for the Choo choo set from the Spring Mini and made him his birthday card. I wanted it to be less birthday-ish so made it accordian style so he can have it out for a while.
It took me a little while to create and there was a lot of sponging. I clear embossed the clouds using the cupcake top out of Big Bold Birthday onto Whisper White cardstock the sponged over the top with Tempting Turquoise to create the sky. I stamped the letters then cut them out and blinged them with Dazzling Diamonds.
He loved it! Kept pointing at it and yelling "Train! Look! See it!" :)
All products were Stampin' Up!
Until next time TTFN xx

YAY!

Yay, I have a desk now that takes pride of place where the unused cot used to be. I stumbled across this $10 sanctuary at a charity shop in Opawa, it was love at first sight and the price was awesome to boot! A day later it is in my space and ready to go :) Yay! No more trying to create on a 10"x10" space. The kids think it is great and I am hoping that the novelty will wear off it for them pretty quickly, although I doubt it will for Miss Abbey, she loves to sit and create :) Now that I have this desk, I will be able to craft more (time permitting) and post more often (but don't hold your breath lol).
