Just a little project

Well what do you know? I got some creative time today and after a good nights sleep, I had the desire to play :) The photos aren't that great, I took them with my cellphone, the batteries in the camera had "fizzled". This is the Ghirardelli box from SplitCoastStampers. Seeing as we don't have that brand of Choccy here in NZ it fits perfectly the Whittikars Chocolate Squares (which Countdown supermarket has on special for $5.99 a box of 16). The lucky recipient of these chocolates will be my cousin in Invercargill who is having a few health issues at the moment. The children are on the mend *yay* long may it last!
All products Stampin up: Brilliant Blue, Chocolate Chip and Baha Breeze Cardstock, DSP: Urban Garden, Stamp: For You from Great Friends, Ink:Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Accessories: SNAIL adhesive, Large Oval Punch and Scallop Oval Punch, Stampin Sponges.

Eek!

Eek! The tiredness has zapped my stamping Mojo! Sick kids again, Master 18 mths has ear infection in both ears, and a nasty cough to go with it, all this adds up to restless nights and a very cuddly, unhappy boy :( Hopefully by tomorrow the antibiotics will have kicked in and he will be well on the mend, giving me a full nights sleep and the return of the mojo and motivation to stamp *sigh*

Finally.....

I thought I better fulfill my promise and upload a card that I made. It wasn't made on the day that I had intended on stamping, as always it ended up turning to custard stamp wise :( I was trying to "girlify" the Choo Choo stamp set from the Spring Mini and I must have been successful because Miss Three has claimed it for her next birthday in June LOL Of course I had to make another one and as predicted Miss Eight claimed it for her next birthday. The green based one is for Brianna and the pink based one is for Abbey.
All products Stampin' Up! : Stamps: Choo Choo, Short and Sweet, Right on Track roller, Cardstock: Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Whisper White. Ink: Pixie Pink, Green Galore, Tempting Turquoise. Accessories: SNAIL adhesive, Dimensionals, 2-way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Oval Punch.

Watch This Space :)

Yay! I might have time to have a play tomorrow *BAS* One child at school and one at preschool, it leaves just one home and he has a sleep in the afternoon *yay* so if I create something, Mum and Dads anniversary card (at the very least) as well as another Nephew's birthday card, I will endeavour to post photos of said creations. Wish me luck ;)

Busy Busy

My hopes and dreams of becoming a regular blogger seem to get sidelined :) Partly by children , partly by getting sidetracked when online looking at youtube projects and blog hopping ;) but mostly by spending all the spare time that I do get to stamp! :) Birthday season is upon me and that is keeping me busy. The latest birthday was my nephew and creating a card for a 12 year old boy is no easy feat. He likes music so I gave it my best shot and the end result even turned the head of Miss 15 who fluttered her eyelashes at me and reminded me of how much I really love her LOL
Everything except the images and the music sheet is Stampin' Up! the images are Ink by Steph (Fiskars? but don't quote me on that one), Colours used are Real Red (obviously :) ), Brilliant Blue and Tempting Turquoise. I sponged the colours onto Whisper White randomly them stamped the Guitar image in black Staz On. I tore the edges then sponged them with Chocolate Chip to give it that "grunge" look. The stamped winged cross was cut out and "boy bling" (silver brads) were added for dramatic effect. The music sheet was punched with the spiral punch (way cool), stamped with Basic phrases (Stampin' Up!) and the sentiment that I cut from the top of the guitar image. In keeping with the rock theme I tore more music sheet and wrote the sentiment for the inside and printed out a small copy of AC/DCs Let There Be Rock. Apparently he loved it (not just for the birthday money that was slipped inside *hee hee*) and I covered a 3B1 notebook in the same manner (these covered notebooks are very popular with the kids, Who Knew?!). I hope this gives you an idea of what you can achieve when you just "roll with it" this project wasn't planned, it just evolved in the making :) Miss 15 now wants her diary for next year covered in the same manner LOL and Miss 8 is making noises about wanting *another* notebook just the same LOL
